How It All Started

I’ve always been drawn to small details—moss creeping through stone, rusted machinery worn by time, a single flower I couldn’t forget. Over time, I began photographing the textures and moments that caught my eye—both in the world around me and in my day job working with color. What started as curiosity became a habit: noticing how pigment moved, clashed, and settled into forms that felt as alive as anything I saw in nature. The unpredictability fascinated me, and I found myself chasing it in everything—from tree bark to storm clouds to the strange beauty of spilled tint.

Eventually, those images needed a canvas. That’s where the idea for Dream Carnival took shape—a surreal cast of characters born from imagination and the chaos of color. At first, I imagined bringing only those characters to life on phone cases. But as I explored further, I realized this format could carry more than characters—it could carry everything: my photography, my textures, my quiet moments. I never set out to design phone cases, but the medium made sense. It was something personal, practical, and always in someone’s hand.

It all began with a swirl of pigment—and a collection known as Dream Carnival.

The Road So Far

From the beginning, my family encouraged me to pursue this. My wife and sons saw something in the work—something real—and their support pushed me to keep going. When I shared early designs with friends, the feedback was more than positive—it was motivating. What started as a fun experiment quickly turned into a calling.
